Things I’ve learned – blog readability

During the completion of a data base project I had to write some technical and user manuals. The manuals have more pictures than text because I believe it will be easier to understand how the system works, if users have a visual reference.

I was happy to get a very positive feedback, but also got a feedback to change the structure of the manuals. The message was that I should place the text below the picture because individuals refer back when reading. This very sound explanation made me think and I realised that I should also change this on my blog. So from now on, you will see the pictures first, if there is any 🙂

Advertising a blog

Found yesterday a post-it note at a shop window for a blog. The text was very appealing to me, but actually I just saw that pink little peace and was drawn to it.
I shall think about doing something similar, but first loewenherzlionheart has to explain me how she/he did it. Stenciling? And how did you do this stencil?

The text says:

AND YOU’RE SUGAR AND

SPICE, AND

EVERYTHING NICE.

YOU GOT MONROE HIPS

YOUR POISON LIPS

AND KNIVES.

Why…

have I choosen this blog name and theme? I think because of the current season. With the change from the summer warmth to colder temperatures in the last 2 weeks; I constantly feel cold and have the need for a warm tea.

Let’s see how I respond to the name in a sweathy and steamy summer 🙂
